The vision and determination of the legal community mobilized an effort that has evolved to be so much more than just a free food program. It is an ever-expanding community of individuals, from all sectors and experience, whose collective efforts have contributed to a more compassionate and supportive world for those living in poverty and at risk.
Now in its 26th year and serves almost 1300 meals each week to those living in poverty or homeless without dependable access to a nutritious meal.
Solely dependent upon charitable donations to fund operations. We receive no government or agency funding. An average of 75 volunteers each week help assist with service.
Meals are served on Tuesday and Wednesday (5pm), Thursday (6:45am) and Sunday (10am). We serve all year round regardless of statutory holidays … or weather or pandemics lol!

Food Insecurity –
Recent research by Environics Analytics and Imagine Canada reveal critical programs and services provided by the charitable sector are at an all time high without the corresponding injection of funds to sustain them.
One in five Canadians are turning to charities to meet basic needs with food bank/food program usage now at its highest since data began being tracked over 30 years ago.
According to the most recent Ipsos survey, almost 70% -- seven out of ten respondents – said this was the first time they have had to rely on charity to meet the basic necessities of life – food and shelter.
Tending through the beginning of 2024 indicates the Foundation’s Toronto Feed the Hungry program is providing almost 15% more meals than it did prior to the pandemic (2019)
